New Paint System Provides a 5-Year Surface Paint Warranty
As the first manufacturer in the industry, Närko has implemented a new painting system that offers even higher quality than before. For the staff, the new system also brings improved ergonomics and a better working environment.
Närko has introduced a new paint application method that offers several advantages for both customers and employees. The new coating system provides better coverage and meets corrosion class CM5, resulting in improved rust protection compared to the previous system.
– We started testing the new method back in autumn 2022 and have since tracked how the trailers perform in everyday use. The results show the paint stands up extremely well to Nordic conditions,, says Jan-Anders Prinsén, Production Manager at Närko.
The high quality of the new system enables Närko to offer a five-year surface paint warranty for its trailers. Närko is the first trailer manufacturer to adopt such an advanced coating system.

Lower VOC Emissions
Previously, trailers were first coated with a primer and then a topcoat. Now, everything is applied directly onto the metal in a single step, making the process both faster and more efficient. Another major advantage is the improved working environment for the staff.
– The paint is easier to apply and requires less effort from the painter. The greatest benefit, however, is that VOC emissions are significantly lower, meaning less odor and fewer solvents in the air, says Prinsén.
