Nordic quality – NATO trusted

From Finland to NATO. Hundreds of Närko trailers and special-purpose vehicles are already serving the Finnish and Swedish Armed Forces. It’s a world few get to enter — but Närko’s uncompromising quality and proven know-how have opened the door to the future.

Närko – a Trusted Partner in NATO’s Supply Network

Närko has been a registered supplier within NATO’s supply chain for several years through the NSPA procurement portal — giving our products visibility to defense forces across member nations. It’s a natural milestone in our long-term commitment to delivering tough, dependable transport solutions for the defense industry.

Extensive Experience in Defense Deliveries

For more than a decade, we have supplied various types of special vehicles, box bodies, and trailers to the Finnish and Swedish Armed Forces. In total, around 600 units have been delivered from our plant in Närpes — including over 150 off-road truck trailers.

Our products meet stringent NATO and ISO standards, and we take pride in contributing Finnish quality and reliable solutions to meet the logistical needs of the defense sector.

“Defense procurement is a rather closed world. With the current increase in preparedness across Europe, it’s an advantage that we already have a foothold in this field,” says Mikael Louhi, CEO of Närko Group

Present and Visible in the Defense Arena

We actively participate in defense exhibitions — most recently in Seinäjoki and Poland — where we meet partners and introduce our solutions to new markets. As a member of Finland’s national preparedness cluster, we also strengthen our position as a trusted player in the defense logistics sector.

Shaping the Future of Defense Logistics

Backed by decades of experience building durable, custom-engineered trailers (ADR EX/III etc), Närko is well equipped to meet the transport challenges of tomorrow’s defense forces — both in the Nordic region and internationally.
